The mission of HOPE RPM is to create a world where EVERYONE has a VOICE.
No one should be left out of the conversation. HOPE RPM gives non-speakers and unreliable speakers the tools to communicate and join in the conversation around them.
We use Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) to teach the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Communication begins with pointing to choices and progresses to spelling on a letterboard, typing, the use of voice-output devices, and sometimes even purposeful speech.
HOPE RPM provides academic tutoring, educational consultations, social skills, and social groups. RPM was developed by Soma Mukhopadhyay for her own son Tito who is severely affected by autism. Despite not being able to speak, Tito has become an accomplished author and leads a productive life.
RPM has successfully been implemented to help enhance communication across a wide spectrum of disabilities.
It has helped thousands of individuals around the world demonstrate their true potential by giving them a voice to express their inner thoughts.
